Yield: 18 servings
Grease bottom and sides of jelly roll pan, 15-1/2x10-1/2x1 inch, with shortening; lightly flour. Heat oven to 350 F.
Stir cake mix (dry), sour cream, butter, vanilla and eggs in large bowl, using large spoon, until dough forms.
Set aside 1 cup dough. Spread remaining dough in pan. Spread pie filling over dough in pan. Drop remaining 1 cup of dough by slightly less than 1 tablespoonfuls onto pie filling.
Bake about 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean.
Microwave frosting in microwavable bowl uncovered on high 20 to 30 seconds or until melted; stir.
Drizzle over warm coffee cake. Cool 30 minutes. Serve warm or cool.
