Piquant French Dressing | |||

|||
1 | teaspoon | Colman's dry mustard | |
|
|||
1 | teaspoon | water | |
|
|||
1 1/2 | cups | olive oil | |
|
|||
2/3 | cup | vinegar | |
|
|||
1 | tablespoon | French's Worcestershire Sauce | |
|
|||
1 1/2 | teaspoons | salt | |
|
|||
1 | teaspoon | sugar | |
|
|||
1 | teaspoon | paprika | |
|
|||
1/4 | teaspoon | Cayenne pepper | |
|

In medium-size bowl arrange alternate layers of shrimp, onion rings and bay leaves. Pour dressing over top, pressing down so top layer is covered. Let stand in refrigerator at least 24 hours to blend flavors. Serve as an hors d'oeuvre on crackers, as a cocktail or in a salad.
PIQUANT FRENCH DRESSING: Mix mustard with water and let stand 10 minutes to develop flavor. Combine all ingredients in a jar. Cover tightly and shake. (Makes 1 - 1 1/2 cups dressing)
